Program Overview

The Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) industry is the backbone of any economy. Indian BFSI sector witnessed significant growth in the past few years and is all set to grow exponentially in the near future, given the burgeoning Indian economy which is poised to become world’s third-largest consumer market by 2030. However, to effectively cater to this exponential growth, there is a pressing need to develop highly-skilled managers to lead organisations in the fast-paced, dynamic business environment. PGDM (Banking and Financial Services) program offered by RITEE Business School (RIBS) in association with TimesPro is aimed at creating and nurturing such highly-skilled future business leaders to effectively meet the challenges of dynamic corporate India. In this association, TimesPro is the knowledge and employability partner, while the AICTE approved PGDM program is offered by RIBS.

The unique work-integrated PGDM program offers the best of campus life and corporate world which aims to bridge the gap between the formal education system and industry standards. With intensive project-driven classroom training in the 1st Year and full-time On-the-Job Training (OJT) focused on experiential learning in the 2nd year, students will gain the right skill sets to navigate effectively in the workplace and thereby add great value to the organisations.

Additional certifications embedded in the course such as NISM & DBF certifications, Core-Banking Software and ET FinPro, enable students to effectively practice and upgrade skills in capital markets as well as business intelligence arena. Besides, case-driven pedagogy using international study materials creates a practical learning approach through group discussions and interactive sessions with industry veterans.

Program Structure

PGDM Program offered by RIBS in association with TimesPro is a two-year, full-time post graduate diploma program following the trimester model.

First academic year of the program comprises of 3 terms offering application-based training that focuses on getting the students ready for the BFSI sector. Term I and Term II of the first year will be delivered by RIBS, Raipur. Pedagogy includes case study method, group discussions and presentations, role plays, quizzes, communication drills and simulation techniques, research-based projects, workshops, industrial excursions, etc. Term III will be delivered at TimesPro Centre at Delhi or Mumbai. In this term, all the core finance courses will be delivered by TimesPro. Students will be offered hands-on training in ET FinPro, Finacle, preparation for NISM modules, grooming & personality enhancement, certification preparation as well as placement preparation.

Second academic year of the program is primarily focused on offering experiential learning to the students through OJT opportunities in the leading private sector banks or BFSI companies. While working on the designated projects, students will get full time on-the-job training during the second academic year of the program. This industry-integrated program is designed to enable participants make their mark in the dynamic corporate world by ensuring first-day, first-hour productivity.

Eligibility Criteria

1. 50% aggregate score in 10th, 12th and UG.
2. 50%ile in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/ATMA/NMAT examinations. Alternatively the candidate has to appear in TAP test and secure minimum 50%.
3. Graduates with/without any professional experience can apply.
4. Final year graduates can also apply. In case appearing in Graduation exam in 2020, the student should not have any back log till pre-final year.
5. Graduation should be from any of the recognized and approved Indian or Foreign* Universities.
6. Age less than or up to 26 years as on start date of Program.
7. The applicant should have a valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/ATMA.

Admission Process

1. *Candidates must provide equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU) latest by 10 Aug 2020, failing which admission shall be treated as cancelled.
2. **50%ile in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/ATMA/NMAT else candidate has to appear in TAP test (Times Admission Process test) and secure minimum 50% to be eligible for the Personal Interview round.
