Guest Lecture by Miss PRAGYA, Techno management consultant, from Oracle Ltd, Hyderabad, on “(a) Data Base Management and its application. (b)Trends in IT industries, and (c) How to crack Interviews” was organized on 23rd February, 2017 by the department, for CSE students. She addressed the students about the Data Base Management system, various phases of development of an application and role of team members involved in software development. She shared actual working of IT MNCs and her useful experience regarding how to crack technical as well as personal interview. She focused on the changing trends of software industries like upcoming new technologies and its importance. She also emphasized on importance of communication skills, confidence and latest technical skills for cracking any interviews. During the end of session she also addressed the queries by the participants. The session on the whole was quite informative and useful for the students who are eyeing to get placed in MNCs.
An Industrial Visit to Doordarshan Kendra (Prasar Bharti )Raipur Chhattisgarh was organized by Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engg. RIT Raipur on 17 February 2017 . The purpose of the visit was to develop interest among the student and to enhance their practical knowledge towards communication technology. Guest Lecture by Mr. Jagendra Nath, from IIHT, Raipur,on “ETHICAL HACKING” was organized on 10th February, 2017 by the department, for CSE students. He spoke about the huge scope in the field of Ethical Hacking. He elaborated on topics like hacking, Types of hacking, Tools related to hacking and its application areas. He also stressed on the importance of strengthening algorithmic part of programming. He explained the importance of hackers with respect to penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. He discussed about Cyber Crime terminologies and about hacking the password in Linux environment by demonstrating live example. During the end of session he also addressed the queries by the participants. The session on the whole was quite informative and useful for the students who are eyeing to get placed in MNCs.
In order to work towards our PM’s vision, Ministry of HRD, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) propose the Smart India Hackathon 2017, a unique initiative to identify new and disruptive digital technology innovations for solving the challenges faced by our country. Smart India Hackathon 2017 is a computer programming competition which will involve all Engineering colleges with a reach to approximately 30 Lakh students from across India.
