Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology

1. The course is of 2 years and prepares aspirants to work in the operation theatre as a competent reliable technologist among the other team members of healthcare department, under the supervision and guidance of senior Doctors and Nurses in their delivery of patient care.
2. The aim of this course is to train candidates in management of operation theatre along with handling a wide range of operating instruments including electronic and advanced equipment used in modern operation theatres.

• OT Technician handles all the equipment and maintenance procedures done at operation theatres. These professionals work in the operating theatres, ICUs and emergency departments of the hospitals and nursing homes.
• Operation theater technicians are always in high demand as they are required in every hospital which has an emergency unit and operation theater.

Operation Theatre Technologists / Technicians are required across all Private and Government hospitals who conduct surgeries.

OT technologists can also be placed at :

1. Nursing homes
2. Clinics
3. Mobile Healthcare units
4. Emergency units 
5. Community Health center
6. Primary Health center
7. Territory Hospitals

• 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects, having obtained at least 40% marks in the above subjects taken together.
